Concerning the freedom of expression, we can not define its boundaries at all. The boundaries ‘X’ might set would not be the same as the ones set by ‘y’, and if ‘X’ is a strong person who cares about ‘y’. (And that’s what really happened) As we might notice, each country, each region defines the freedom of expression in a way that can be beneficial to them. It goes without saying even if we might not pay attention to that! We should not beat about the bush and ask for the nth time what is the real definition of freedom and who sets its boundaries!! So for the case of the scandal that happened recently, in my point of view Muslims would have protested in a much cleverer manner but since the Arab world had been suffering from discrimination, bigotry and anguish, the caricatures were just a trigger that pushed Muslims to react in the way we’ve all seen the past days and maybe the coming ones too. As we say “n9ta li fiyedate lwad”. Nice topic L9ant I’ve asked myself the same questions as yours many times! My dad convinced me (few days ago) that the problem could have been handled differently. About the fact that girls do not answer (and since i'm a girl loool i'll give my reasons) first i'm busy the whole day, second most topics are the same so sometimes i don't even open them for sake of 3guizizity and time !
